DISCOVERERS
Camp for boys and girls ages 3 through 6 (entering 1st grade) with age specific sporting and water activities, field trips, and lots of hands-on arts and crafts activities.

EXPLORERS
A faster moving day camp for ages 7 to 13 (must have completed 1st grade). This is truly an older kids’ day camp setting, with unique and challenging activities and field trip venues, including Hawaiian Falls, Sandy Lake, Group Dynamix and Rock Climbing.

HALF-DAY CAMPERS
 Discovers and Explorers half-day campers will enjoy outdoor water play, gymnastics, arts and crafts, sack lunch and open gym. These special guys will have an in-house visitor every Wednesday.

WEEKLY ACTIVITIES
Swimming, gymnastics, tumbling, dance, floor games, rock climbing and up to three field trips to exciting locations in and around the Metroplex.  Arts and crafts based on the theme of the particular week.  Contact our front office or Camp Director at 214-351-4489 for activities for a given week.

TIMES & DAYS
 The regular camp hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for half days and 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for full days.  We do permit early drop between 8 and 9 a.m. and late pickup from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at no additional charge for 5-day campers.  You may choose three-day (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) or five-day (Monday through Friday) camps each week during summer. 

FIELD TRIPS
 Big D Summer Fun Camp campers, under the leadership of our field trip director, will spend two to three days of each week exploring and enjoying a variety of Metroplex’s most fun educational, cultural and recreational venues.  Campers will be transported on a 44-passenger "Transits" bus or our camp vans.  Both the bus and our vans are air-conditioned.  
OUR CAMP STAFF
 The real secret of a great camp experience is a great camp staff.  At DSG, we have developed experienced, caring adult camp counselors who enjoy sharing their time and talents with each camper.  Our counselors are also carefully screened, background checked, and our managers are CPR and First Aid certified.

FRISCO SUMMER FUN CAMP WEEKS

May 29 – June 1      Blast to the Past    
Both the Discoverers and Explorers will be stepping back to the past. We will explore the Dallas Aquarium to see numerous exhibits on the rainforest, giant turtles and reptiles.  Come and join us for an exhilarating time. Half-Day Campers will enjoy a special visitor on Wednesday.  Because of the lost day due to Memorial day, camps are 20% off.

 June 4-8        Extreme Sports      
Let’s have a sporting good time.  This week the Explorers will venture to Group Dynamix and also tour the Rough Riders stadium with a possible game (dependent on baseball schedule). The Discoverers will be heading to Pump It Up. The only rule is to HAVE FUN and don’t forget to bring your game face. Half-Day Campers will learn a new game each day.

June 11-15      It’s Zonkey Time
 “Start spreading the news…” It’s time to find out what is a “Zonkey?” Put on your shoes and let’s explore all the Animal Kingdom with a special guest. Discoverers and Explorers will visit the Dallas Zoo. Half-Day and Full-Day Campers will enjoy pony rides around the gym.

June 18-22      Bounce Madness
 Join us for a jumping good time.  Those who love to jump, bounce, flip, flop, slide, climb and get wet will truly enjoy this week of camp. Bounce houses and inflatable will rule the days.  Discoverers and Explorers will visit Pump it Up, and we’ll also have inflatable water slides and obstacle courses at the gym.

June 25-29          Dance Party     
Come and join us for some fun hip-hop, tumbling and break dancing with Frisco Dance Force. Then let’s take a trip to Indoor Bounce Party to dance and play. Full-Day Campers will be touring and dancing at the Frisco Dance Force studio. Half-Day Campers will be learning dance routines to show moms and dads at the end of the week. Wahoo! It’s Show Time.

July 2 & 3          Games Galore
 Two days of Silly Olympics with games, contests and rewards. We have ribbons, medals and trophies to give away. This is one short week you do not want to miss.

July 9-13         Beach Blast
 Surfers wanted.  This week Explorers will journey to Hawaiian Falls Water Park.  If you love water, this is the place to be.  Our Discoverers will splash into water relay games, water slide and other water activities. 

July 16-20        Barn Yard
 Join us on the farm. We will meet maybe ride a pony. But will get a chance to meet all the barnyard animals. Our Full Day Discovers and Explorers will visit Grisham Farms. Half-Day Campers will enjoy pony rides around the gym.

July 23-27         Survivor Island
 Are you going to be a survivor of our challenges? The Explorers and discovers will experience their own “fear factor” at Sandy Lake. It’s a week of trials and challenges, testing fears, determination and endurance. Get hyped!

July 30-Aug 32         Weird Science
 It’s ALIVE… Let the scientist in you come out as we mix chemicals in an attempt to create the unexpected.  Please, only one explosion per camper. Full-Day Discoverers and Explorers will both travel to the Dallas Science Museum. Half-Day campers will have a special visitor.

Aug-6-10       Water Adventure
 Let’s end the summer with lots of fun with water. Full-Day Discoverers and Explorers will both travel to a local water park. Giant water slides, water games and a dunking booth will be available this week. Let’s get wet!
